Welcome!
I’m Luciana Fisher.
Luciana Fisher is a Brazilian-American writer, dyslexic poet, and breast cancer survivor.
She holds an honors degree in Economics from BMCC and is completing her B.A. in Social Sciences with a concentration in Economics at NYU.
Her work explores the emotional weight of everyday life—vulnerability, identity, resilience, and the human cost of the systems we live in. As a neurodivergent thinker, she blends lived experience with analytical clarity to write with honesty and precision.
She sees storytelling as both survival and quiet resistance. Her poetry resonates with those navigating grief, chronic illness, or the silent burden of being misunderstood. With a voice that is unapologetically real, she invites readers to look beneath the surface—not just at her work, but at themselves.
Through her company, Luciana Fisher LLC, she founded Beneath the Surface: For Survivorship & Neurodivergence—a charitable initiative built into her publishing model. A portion of every qualifying book sale and speaking engagement supports vetted nonprofits focused on breast cancer and neurodivergence in the U.S. and Brazil.

Luciana Fisher, Beneath the Surface
An estimated 700 to 780 million people worldwide have dyslexia, yet it remains misunderstood and overlooked.
As a writer and poet, I use my craft to challenge perceptions, raise awareness, and show that dyslexia is not a weakness—it’s a different way of seeing the world.
When I’m not writing, you can find me performing my poetry around New York City, exploring nature, and enjoying the company of my beloved dogs, Stitch and Spidey.

Insignificant as I am, I write for every woman, man, and child, never able to carry a pen.
With the soul purpose of righting all the wrongs, that left them without a chance to leave in ink a mark of their own.

Blessed.”
